December 6th

Andrea had her 4 mo check up today. She is 17 lbs 15 ounces and 27 inches long. The doctor was laughing, she couldn't believe Andrea was so big! She's bigger than Michael was. Michael was 17 lbs 12 ounces and 26 1/2 inches at 4 months. We were told that she is going to be one tall girl...that's kind of a given :)

Monday, October 15, 2007

So, Michael is in search of a wife :) For some reason, he feels this is something he needs to do. There is a girl in his class he is smitten with, Anna. I asked him if he wanted her to be his wife. He said "She's nice to look at, but I don't want to marry her."

Another conversation...we were talking about him dating when he's a teenager:

Michael: I'm not going to date just one girl, I'm going to date lots of girls.
Me: Well honey, girls don't like it when you date other girls at the same time.
Michael: Well I'm not going to tell them!

Where do they learn these thing?!!!

Almost here....

Here is a 4D image taken earlier today. We'll see if she really looks like this when she's born.
She weighs a bit over 7 lbs right now and should be about a pound heavier by the time she's born.

Marshmallows

We were driving home from the race track tonight and passed a field with hay bundles wrapped in white plastic. Michael saw them and said "look at those huge marshmallows!" Yes, they did look like marshmallows, he was disappointed to find out they weren't really marshmallows.

This morning....

This morning before school Michael started to draw a picture. It was of a cat. He brought it to me to ask if he was doing it right and I showed him how to make the nose into an upside-down triangle. He colored it and then folded it up and put it in an envelope. I asked him who he was making it for. He said it was for Isabelle (a girl in his class)...her cat was hit in the road so he wanted to give it to her so she wouldn't be sad anymore. What a sensitive child we have! He's such an interesting kid.

Michael's Underwater World

This is a drawing Michael did of an underwater world. Pretty good ehh? I love his lobster on the bottom.

Michael's Haircut

I had to add this picture of Michael after he cut his hair in school. It's just so funny. He thought he was doing me a favor... if he cut his hair, I wouldn't have to. At least his intentions were good! (He now has a buzz cut, again).

New Foods

Apparently Michael has decided to start trying new foods. He wasn't a terrible eater, but he was annoying enough. Last week, for dinner, I made peas and macaroni, he has never had this before, as he absolutely hated peas. Well, for some reason he decided it was about time he start liking peas. He tried the meal...and he liked it. Later in the week he tells me that he likes tuna fish...another food he had never tried before. He had a tuna fish sandwich at school for lunch. Again...he liked it! I asked him if he wanted me to buy some tuna fish to make sandwiches at home. He says...no, I only like to eat them at school. I guess that's better than nothing. It's very funny how, all of the sudden, he's decided to venture out of his comfort-food zone. He's even eating his pasta with sauce! Kids.

First Entry

I'm starting this Blog to keep the Grandparents, as well as family and friends, updated on Michael and his soon-to-be brother or sister. Michael does and says such funny things everyday that I usually forget to tell the Grandparents about them...I will be adding pictures as well so they can see how big he's getting.
